Project 2: Corriedale Fleece to Plyed Yarn to Warm wool Hat combined with Project 1 yarn.

Finished Crotchet work ready for set wash.

2nd Steps


Spinning the dried Carded washed Fiber on to a bobbin on my spinning wheel.
Hang drying the Skeins of yarn after Setting the twist in Hot water. 
The Corriedale is the light cream natural color, and the natural tan is from Project 1 merino.


First Steps: Washing the Raw Fleece.



1st soak Wash 
Washing out Lanolin out of Raw Corriedale Sheep Fleece.
2nd rinse Wash 

Hang above to Dry after 3rd rinse Wash
Washed Corriedale Sheep Fleece air Drying
Drying Washed Fleece

Making Fiber into Yarn Filming Clip



For this project I am spinning up from a raw merino Fleece that was washed and carded.  The yarn is set and some of the skeins are dyed using Food Coloring.

Project 1: Merino Sheep Fleece to yarn to...

Update: Project 2 yarn corriedale natural white cream and Merino natural tan yarn from this Project 1 to be combined into a Warm wool Hat and neckwarmer/headband after air drying.


Merino Fleece washed and in process of being carded to spin into yarn. 

White bag holds washed merino fiber.  Basket holds carded Fiber.  Balled and skins of spun yarn, some food colored dyed, on black and grey blanket.
